We’re a nation that uses its health care system to treat illnesses rather than maintain our health. In fact, 75c of every medical dollar spent is spent on illnesses we could avoid, or control, if we better managed our health—things like high blood pressure, heart disease and diabetes.
When Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Dakota wanted to encourage and empower North Dakotans to live healthier lifestyles, they enlisted us. We created an awareness and educational campaign as well as an interactive website that provides information, assessments, incentives and tracking tools for those who wish to take charge of their health. And based on site traffic, plenty of people are choosing to do so.
