Spirit Mountain: Long Live Winter Season Pass

Spirit Mountain partnered with WestmorelandFlint to develop an annual campaign to increase its season pass sales; primarily during the month of October.

The target audience for season passes is largely high school and college students. With insights on what appeals to that audience, our messaging and creative took on a youthful, edgy feel, revolving around the concept of:

Long Live Winter.

Everyone loves summer, except for people who love skiing and snowboarding. And even if everyone is not a die-hard ski fan, we can make a memorable, entertaining campaign out of turning the love of summer on its ear. This concept rejoices in the end of summer, because that means the Spirit Mountain Season Pass Sale is on its way, and that means skiing/boarding is not far behind. Such a juxtaposition (happiness and demise), is the reason this campaign stands out with the target audience and inspires them to take action. 

“Long Live Winter” has been so successful for Spirit Mountain that it has been used for the past three years to promote its season pass sales. WestmorelandFlint has updated the creative elements each year, revolving around the “Long Live Winter” theme.
